REAL DRUMS.
REAL SOUND.
Chicago. January 15, 2011.
Before they lived in your pocket, these drums filled a studio in River North.
We brought the battery to NoiseFloor and recorded with Jamie Vanadia, the DCI DVD sound engineer behind Drumline’s marching drum samples. Real drums, carefully placed microphones, and a whole lot of listening.
Sound effects performed by Aaron Shuman and Brian Stukey. Recorded by Jamie Vanadia at NoiseFloor Ltd.
NoiseFloor is a Chicago sound studio working across recording, sound design, music, and post production. This is a look back at our session together.
